The health of your ears can be associated with several conditions and often present themselves in the form of hearing loss. It’s for this reason that we highly recommend a full audiology assessment if a client is concerned about their ear health.
A full assessment will determine if a person has an underlying medical condition that requires a specialist referral and further investigations. They may present symptoms such as: sudden hearing loss, asymmetry (when 2 ears respond very differently), perforated eardrums or discharge. We discuss the findings of all assessments with you and will guide you through your options. If we determine that there is an issue, we’ll refer you onto an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) specialist or another medical professional who will determine the best course of action.
